NEWS

May 18 /2008,
Hey Friends!!! Well, Let's get you up to date! The new Album "A Taste of What's to Come" is being sent to L.A for Mastering Next Friday, May.23rd. Tom Baker will be Mastering the album, Awesome!!!! As for a release date, we are planning to release it before we go on tour but think it is in our best interest to try and get it on a label before we release it. So as soon as we know, you will know. As for our new media (music video) it is still in the works. We did write a script for "Epica" but ended up scrapping it. We are now in the process of writing a script for "Rise" and are hoping to get the video done before we go on tour. As for the tour, all our dates are posted on our myspace page with more to come. We are doing a nice chunk of Canada and heading down through the states to Hollywood. If you have friends or family in any of the cities that we are going through and think that they would be in to the music spread the word and help get them out to our show. Also if you know anyone that might put us up for a night in any of the cities that we go through please let us know, it will help us save money and save us from a hot sleep in the muggy van, lol. We have a few more shows before we head out so make sure you come and support to help us be best prepared for the tour.
On a more personal note. We are all still living together in the same house that we have been living in for the last five years. We are all getting along great and are feeling strong and confident. It has been a pretty stressful six months, trying to find time with our producer's busy schedule to finish the album, paying our bills, booking all of the tour our selfs, going through some rough times. However, all and all, our faith is high and things are starting to fall into place and come together nicely. If you have any suggestions or anything you would like to see from dreadnaut, please don't hesitate to drop us a message. We are always up for listening to what our friends and fans have to say. We will talk to you soon!
Much Love,
dreadnaut

January 11 /2008,
Well we are now into the New Year and what a year this should be! We plan on playing a lot of shows in 2008.. That tends to to keep us sane. We are back on the mixing process from the holidays and still can't wait for the cd to be complete. We are trying to find a home (label) for this album so the release date might take a little longer than expected, we will keep you posted. We have a few shows coming up in the city that you can view on our myspace at www.myspace.com/dreadnaut . The first video is still yet to be shot but we hope to be doing that in the next month or so. Also we should have another song sometime soon for previewing. We wish everyone luck in 2008, Let's do some damage this year! Cheers!

Where does the time go? December is upon us already.
Halloween was just amazing! Great bands, six hundred people packed in The Zoo, crazy costumes and a stupid after party. Check out some pictures in the gallery. Over 4000 plays in three weeks, Thanks everyone!! The album is starting to sound brilliant.
We want to give a shout out to Brandon Friesen for doing some fantastic work on the album. It's sounding beautiful bro!! We are planning on shooting a video in December for " A Taste of What's To Come ". The first song will be " Epica ". We plan on doing this video first due to its ability to be played to a wider audience.  We plan on doing a few videos for this album. Thanks to everyone that came out to our all age show at The Park Theatre on the 16th. That was a fun show. I must say I thought the lights were great, cool lasers.  Want to thank Steve Rumpli for doing lights for us over the last couple of years, you have come a long way and they are looking great. Maybe we will through a clip up from The Park. We are playing the O.C.  Saturday Dec. 1st with Civil Disobedients, Pembina Highway.

October 24 /2007,
How the hell is everyone doing? It's been some time since we've had our website up and running. Do to the last website being a bit more than we could handle we decided to go back to the conventional html format. Where to begin? Well, after a great summer of touring, recording, growing, partying, and just plain living, this is where we stand. The album is very close to completion. We have started the mixing process which is going to take a few weeks, at least. We are looking at a January release if everything goes smoothly. There will be one song put up on our myspace by weeks end from the new album " A Taste of What's to come" (unmastered). We would like to thank every band we shared the stage with, and anyone who helped us in anyway over the summer. We had a blast and can't wait to see you all again. The website is going to be getting updated frequently over the next two weeks so don't be shocked if something is not clickin right, and make sure to check back periodically for updates on news, pictures, and video. We have our huge " Night of the living dread II " show at The Zoo this Friday with Damascus, Still Village, and Coda. What a night it is going to be. More news to come very soon. Cheers everyone!

As you all probably noticed, the Gallery has been undergoing maintenance for the past 2 weeks. Well, it's finally back up with some new pictures in the Fans - Friends and Dreadnaut gallery. There has been a lot going on for dreadnaut. We are having our Album "A New Design" released across Canada JUNE 6th with C12 Records. So we are forming street teams in as many Canadian Cities as possible to accompany our cross country tour starting in July. Time is of the essence, we need all you out there to spread the word and promote the release of the Disc. Use MySpace.com to our advantage and help us sell as many copies as we can in Canada. Finally, DTV - Episode 7 has arrived. Download it here or you can view it from our myspace page myspace.com/dreadnaut.

April 17 /2006,
Well it's been another couple of busy weeks for us. Dryden was a great time on the 14th! There is definately some entertaining footage from the weekend that will be in Episode 7 of DTV (which is currently in the works.) We'll be coming back to Dryden very soon on our way to Thunder Bay. Now, as far as the Band goes, currently we're in talks with C12 Records in Winnipeg to get our album distributed accross Canada. The Gallery will be down for a week or so for maintenance. I'll keep you posted. Dreadnaut would like to shout out a big congrats to our bro Dan and Courtney Bryson for getting hitched over the weekend. We hope you're still not fully recovered. That's all for now. Peace

Yet another amazing Friday night. The energy was incredibly high all throughout the evening and carried on into the early morning. Thanks to Cory from Putrescence for putting Manitoba Metalfest together and thinking it all through so the night ran smoothly, even though "The Lifeless Design" didn't make it across the border to play. Also thanks to all the bands we played and partied with, Torn Into, Damascus, and Bloodshed Symphony. We'd love to do that again. The new pictures are up in the gallery.

The all ages show went on with out any problems on Friday, you guys are f*&^!@* crazy! Somehow you managed to break the steel gates that we had set up on the floor and pushed through to get that energy across. Saturday was just as crazy, but this time with more booze and less pop. Thanks to all the bands that helped us out over the weekend, Breaking the Silence, War Story, and Sticks and Stones. We'd also like to thank Terry Didluck, Jared Weiss, all of our Friends and Family for their help over the weekend and everyone who helped make this weekend run as smooth as possible. Even the tow truck driver that pulled us for 4 hours. We have a bunch of shows coming up still, so we hope you're all ready. For everyone who is under 18 years of age, we're finally playing an all ages show in Winnipeg. March 12th at the Vernaz Energy Lounge (710 Pembina). Show starts at 6:00pm and is $5 at the door.
